Cooling Towers for Defence Establishments

Rugged FRP, RCC and wooden cooling towers for defence manufacturing units, shipyards, research facilities and base utilities. Designed and built in India since 1975.

Quick answer

What cooling tower is best for a defence facility?

Most defence facilities use an induced draft FRP cooling tower. It is light, quick to install, and does not rust in coastal or humid locations such as naval dockyards and coastal bases.

Large, permanent installations such as ordnance and manufacturing units may prefer an RCC cooling tower. Every tower is thermally designed for its site.

Applications

Where cooling towers are used in defence establishments

Defence sites combine manufacturing, workshops, research and large building complexes, and each has its own cooling load.

Challenges

Cooling tower challenges at defence sites, and how we design for them

Defence sites need equipment that lasts, is easy to support and meets the buyer’s specification. These are the conditions we design around.

Tower types & materials

Which cooling tower suits your facility?

We manufacture all three materials in-house, so we recommend the one that fits your duty, not the one we happen to make.

FAQ

Cooling towers for defence: FAQs

An induced draft FRP cooling tower suits most defence sites because it is light, quick to install and does not rust. Large, permanent installations may choose an RCC cooling tower.

Yes. FRP cooling towers suit coastal sites because FRP does not rust, and our pultruded FRP towers are resistant to seawater and hard water.

Yes. For large cooling towers we provide technical information such as air quantity, L/G ratio, KaV/L, fan curves and performance curves.

Yes. All our cooling towers are designed and manufactured at our own factory at MIDC Murbad, near Mumbai.

Yes. We repair and reconstruct cooling towers of any make, and supply spares such as FRP fans, fills, nozzles, drift eliminators, fan stacks and gearboxes.

Our FRP, RCC and wooden cooling towers have a life expectancy of 15–20 years with regular maintenance.
