How cooling tower fans work

Hot water gives off its heat to the air passing through the tower. The fan keeps that air moving – it draws fresh air in and pushes the hot, humid air out into the atmosphere, which absorbs the heat. A fan mounted on top of the tower is called induced draft; a fan mounted on the side that blows air in is called forced draft.

Cooling Tower Fan Product Features

Blades:
- Made of Fibreglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP) or Aluminium Alloy.
- Available configurations:
  - 4 blades for fans with a 1050 mm diameter.
  - 6 blades for fans with a 1200 mm diameter and above.
Hub:
- Crafted from Hot Dip Galvanized Steel.
- Includes stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers for superior corrosion resistance.
Balancing:
- The entire assembly is statically balanced to minimize vibration and ensure smooth operation.

Cooling Tower Fan Operational Configurations

Gearbox-Driven Fans:
- These fans are coupled to a Gearbox powered by an Electric Motor.
- Gearbox Model:
  - Required to bore the fan hub.
Direct Motor-Coupled Fans:
- These fans are directly connected to the Electric Motor for simplified operation.
